Transferring Dataset

Discover how you can transfer datasets to another user.

Transferring a dataset

You can transfer your dataset to another user on Nygen Analytics. The receiving user will get the dataset in the exact same state as you sent it, this includes saved gene sets, comments, metadata etc.

💡Please note that transferring a dataset means you will lose access to this dataset from your account.

For sharing options that allow you to keep your dataset, learn more about Sharing Dataset Directly or Creating Public Links.

Receiving a dataset

Recipients will find the datasets in their Inbox from their account. If you cannot find the datasets, please check the following:

  • if the sender used the same email as the one used for your account
  • if the sender has transferred the dataset from the same server location as yours. You can check your default location from account settings.

💡Tip! You can make a copy of the dataset before transferring to keep the dataset. This can be useful when you would like to send a dataset for another user to analyse or edit, this way you can get the edited version back and compare the dataset with your original copy.
